Receive world-class care from Melia Lucero, M.D.
Dr. Lucero graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. She went on to complete her medical school education and residency there as well, because of the vast exposure to diverse medical conditions related to both obstetrics and gynecology.
Dr. Lucero moved to Texas in 2015 and was instrumental in opening an Obstetrics and Gynecology department in a small community hospital. During her time there, she held the title of Department Chair and was involved in various administrative committees within the hospital. Due to her commitment to her family and her desire to participate more in her church medical missions, she joined the Oakwood practice in 2017. She is a Junior Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Lucero treats many obstetric and gynecologic conditions – she has a special interest in obstetrical care and the work-up and evaluation of infertility. Her focus is on the overall well-being of her patients and works with patients to help develop the balance of good health of the body, mind and spirit.
