Misty Danielson grew up in Minnesota and graduated from North Dakota State University’s Nursing School in 1984. She was recognized by the National Dean’s List and was a member of Phi Eta Sigma.
In the fall of 1984 Misty moved to Austin and began working in Cardiology, then 5 years in the Intensive Care Unit at St. David’s Medical Center until she transferred to Labor and Delivery in 1989. She worked as a Charge Nurse in both ICU and L&D.
Misty graduated from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center as a Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner in 1998. She began working for Dr. Linda Litzinger in 1993 and continued until Dr. Litzinger discontinued her practice October of 2008. Misty is pleased to be working with Dr. Laura Meritt and Dr. Melanie Collins.
She is recognized by the State of Texas as an Advanced Practice Nurse in Women’s Health Care and is certified by the National Certification Corporation for Obstetrics, Gynecologic and Neonatal Nursing Specialties. She is a member of AWHONN, the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Services and NPWH, Nurse Practitioner in Women’s Health. She has been a Nurse Colposcopist since 2001.
Misty is married and has two Daughters. She enjoys running, cycling, movies, weekends in Port Aransas and spending time with her Grandson and Granddaughter.
She is committed to caring for Women and their families and educating them to improve their quality of life with close collaboration with other Health Care Professionals.
